Saying Good-bye to my
sweet David, our missionary
until August 2013.
Soooo sad . . . .

Because Air Trans flies students all over the US
for $99.00 each way - standby David wanted to take
advantage of that and go out west to visit family
before he left on his mission.
He had a great two week vacation, and the kids
loved their Uncle Dave.

We're loving our new kitchen especially since our
blood, sweat and tears went into it!

Cassy came for a 3 day weekend.

March 29, 2011 Ron legally adopted David.
April 1, 2011 he went through the Salt Lake Temple.
May 5, 2011 David was sealed to us in the
newly dedicated Atlanta Temple.
Another Special Day!

April 19, 2011
I flew into Salt Lake, David picked me up,
we drove straight to his apartment, packed and
drove home the next day to Georgia!
Thanks to some very good friends we stored most
of his "Stuff" for two years at their
house in near Provo.

Eight months since I've posted anything on my blog. My how the time just flies by without you even knowing it. The two most eventful things in my life these past few months are:

1. Kitchen Remodel
2. Supporting David through his first year of college at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and getting him ready for his two year Arizona - Tucson Mission - August 10, 2011

EACH ONE OF THOSE WAS A MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENT
THE LATER OF WHICH I'M STILL GOING THROUGH FOR TWO YEARS

This has been SO HARD FOR ME. I thought I was stronger, but I'm a total baby. I MISS MY SWEET BOY, his beautiful face, his loving words, his bundle of energy and enthusiasm for life and strong faith in Jesus Christ. I know he's right where he needs and wants to be and I completely support him. His letters are my sunshine on a cloudy day, and that makes it all worth while! Cassy will have her baby in October and Katy will graduate from UGA in December, so I have much to look forward to.

Here are some wonderful pictures and cherish memories from the past eight months.

April 1, 2011
Ron and David went through the
Salt Lake Temple. An
usher noticed that
David had a tag on indicating his first time through.
He asked if they had seen other rooms and they
replied, "No", so he took them on
a little private tour.
Special, spe
cial, day!

Katy went to Italy this summer, for a study abroad
with about 15 girls form the University of Georgia.
Th
ey all spent a month in a school class.
Katy just love her students
and
t
hey loved her, of course!

On weekends she toured and took some beautiful pictures!

2011
It's really true what my Dad said,
"Blink and you're life will pass you by!"
Ron and I are now official
"EMPTY NESTERS"
It's sad, scary, fun with much
anticipation all at the same time.
SO, we got busy this November
doing our kitchen over. My, oh my
bigger undertaking than I ever thought
possible.
